Magali Forte (B.A., M.A.) graduated as a teacher in the South of France in 2007. Part French and part Spanish, Magali has always been passionate about languages. After getting her Bachelor in Spanish Literature and Civilizations and her Masters in English Literature, Linguistics and Civilization, she started teaching English as a Second Language in secondary schools in France. She was trained with the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) for Languages in France, so it was exciting for her when she started teaching French as a Second Language in Vancouver, BC and realized that it was the new document of reference for the Core French curriculum in BC. She is now teaching French and Spanish at York House School, and also acting as the head of the Modern Languages Department. Magali is currently completing her Masters in Education, more specifically focusing on teaching second languages in BC, at Simon Fraser University. Convinced that the AIM is the best method to help her students quickly become proficient speakers in her language classroom, Magali continues to be amazed, on a daily basis, at the rapid progress her students are making. She enjoys working with other teachers to share her love for the AIM and her teaching and learning experiences.
