Our FSL Cultural Literacy Packs enable you to address the cultural strand, a part of the Ministry of Ontario Guidelines. They can be used alongside AIM kits to help you develop your students' knowledge of French culture, or as a stand-alone cultural resource. There are two packs per grade level, each containing approximately 20 hours of instructional material. The Literacy Packs contain numerous innovative and adaptable whole-class and partner/group activities.
At present, we have two Cultural Literacy Packs available. Each one includes:
- Complete photocopiable blackline masters, both in booklet format and on CD-ROM (Mac and PC)
- Teaching guide with cultural support activities and assessment guidelines
- Audio CD of both stories, comprehension tests and accompanying songs
- PowerPoint™ presentation of both full texts
- Stories for each level with Big Books and ten reader copies
- Electronic versions of the readers (PDFs with embedded MP3s)
- Photocopiable board game (ideal for Activity Centres) (CEA 1A only)
- Eco carrying bag
- Suitable for elementary and early junior high school
