What is the Student Showcase?
The primary goal of the Accelerative Integrated Method is to ensure successful, rapid fluency-building over a very short period of time.
The strategies and techniques found in the AIM program provide students with the confidence and competence to express themselves in French, both orally and in writing. Oral language skills are developed by repeated vocabulary practice through gesture, dramatization, songs/dances and in spontaneous classroom interactions. The AIM program also promotes the development of higher order thinking skills in tandem with fluency-building through creative writing activities such as story extension and story retelling. Parents and teachers alike are often astonished at the confidence that AIM students develop in the language.
Here at the AIM head office we continually receive glowing feedback from proud and excited teachers and parents. They cannot believe that French students are now demonstrating levels of fluency that they never thought possible. AIM teachers are reaching high levels of success all across Canada and are proud of their students work....
so we decided to share some of it with you.
Enjoy!
Congratulations to our Winner Parisa Fani-Molky and to our Runner Up Victoria Chin for their excellent entries!

La Banane
Juli Powers' approaching performance at St. Anthony's School in Ontario inspired Milly Crescenzi's, of St. Anthony School in Thornhill, grade eight students to create their own version and video of Juli's song La Banane. Just before beginning her concert at the school, Juli projected the video for all students to see and, as always, the concert was a bit hit with everyone!

Exciting News from around the world
AIM Mandarin program
For the past few years Jennifer McKinney, the AIM facilitator based in Australia, has worked with a select group of Mandarin teachers to develop the AIM Mandarin program. The success so far with the AIM Mandarin program has been phenomenal. The reaction from teachers and others who have witnessed the learning potential of the AIM in Mandarin, a language that is typically very challenging for English language speakers, is extremely positive!

AIM in Madagascar
Kathy Lucking has been working with AIM FSL and ESL kits in Madagascar. The interest is growing steadily and there are about 26 people who come daily at 4 pm for one hour. Younger students at school try to get into the adult classes because they enjoy it so much. Around the school yard one can hear little bits from the plays regularly, and on seeing the teachers in the morning the students usually greet them with words and gestures!
