Workshop Update - Amsterdam

October - 2007
The sold-out FSL/FFL workshop in Amsterdam was a smashing success. The participants, mainly Dutch but some from as far afield as Russia, France and the U.K., enjoyed the hands-on, interactive presentation given by  Edite Sammons from Toronto and Jane Leung from Paris. The response was so positive from the educators, that we have decided to do a two-day workshop in Spring 2008. Stay posted for details!
 

Workshop Update - Summer Institute

August - 2007
On July 3 - 6 of 2007, we held the Fifth Annual AIM Summer Institute in Orillia, Ontario.  There were 180 teachers in attendance, and it was a roaring success ? a real sense of community was established over the 3 1/2 days, as everyone worked hard to increase their knowledge of the Gesture Approach, the use of plays, songs and dances, and of how to do successful story retellings and extensions.  On the final night, we had a variety show, where everybody had the chance to strut their stuff, as we all presented plays and dances.  Here are a few images of that night, captured on film by presenter Richard Smith from Ottawa.
